Dream Dinners Training Week in Snohomish, Washington

We are currently in Snohomish, Washington, the location of Dream Dinners’ home office. We’ll be here for the week, learning all about the finances, guest relations, marketing, inventory/ordering…the list goes on.

We arrived yesterday, after a very turbulent plane ride due to very bad weather. I spent about the last 20 minutes of the flight with my head between my knees, hoping not to loose my lunch! Wasn’t very fun. :(

We’re staying at the “Dream House” with 2 other groups of owners. One group is from SoCal and the other is from Wichita, Kansas. It’s been insightful speaking with them thus far. We’ve got a group skit to create for our Thursday night Dream Dinners barbeque (don’t know how we’re going to barbeque in this rainy, cold weather, but oh well). I hate homework! We’ll let you know how it goes.

Gotta get back to training! We’ll check in soon!

P.S. We miss Kiya. A lot. Thanks again to my family for watching her for us. Sorry about her hole-digging. I guess she likes dirt. :)

Welcome to the Dream Dinners family. Enjoy your week in Snohomish. You will make friends that will become great ties to the Dream Dinners family. Absorb all you can and know there is a whole army of DD owners out there that are willing to help you out.

PS Go to Google and apply for Google Alerts for “Dream Dinners” and you will start getting alerts for fun blogs and articles on DD. That is how I got this site message.

I would like to welcome you to the Dream Dinners family as well. As Lori mentioned you will make friends at training. We still keep in contact with our fellow “Dream House” roommates. Our store is located in Lancaster, PA. We look forward to meeting you at our next training. Have fun!!

Thanks for the well wishes! We appreciate it! We have had a good 2 days of training so far, and we’ve made some good friends. We’re working in the Mill Creek store tomorrow…oh boy!

I have been thinking of you guys after listening to how yucky the weather is out there. I drove by the buisness and saw your sign in person. It is all so exciting!
And I know how it feels to miss your furry baby. Tell Kiya she will get some liver brownies when she comes back home to Fremont.
    Be safe!

Hi Michelle! So you saw our sign? It’s really starting to feel real now!

We are doing ok with the weather where we are. The flight in wasn’t pleasant, and our first day of training was all rainy. We watched the river from the home office rise all day on Monday. It’s scary stuff.

Unfortunately, I’ve gotten sick–I totally lost my voice and my head is all cloudy. I wasn’t able to participate in our in-store training today, where we would actually run a real session. I got sent back to the house we’re staying at, for obvious reasons. Hopefully, I’ll be ok for the rest of the week.

Kiya loves your liver treats! She’s not being the best-behaved dog right now. My mom’s telling me about the holes she’s digging (latest one was 7 inches deep by 7 inches across) and the bag of soil she’s gotten into–it’s totally unlike her. I’m sure it’s her anxiety coming out. My poor baby! Can’t wait to pick her up!

Hope everything is going well back home. Tell Jimmy hi and give baby Henry a nice hug for us!
